I use _reboot_Teensyduino_() to update firmware in devices I sell. I've used this method for thousands of devices without issue.

I now however have a customer whose device is no longer (it did for a while) booting 'half-kay' after executing _reboot_Teensyduino_(). Is it a possible that a hardware issue with the bootloader / MCU could be causing this issue? If the customer opens up his device and presses the hardware program button, the device boots half-kay as expected.

Very unlikely to be a hardware issue if press the button works. At least the processor & bootloader hardware, that is.

We make every Teensy with that pushbutton because all sorts of things can go wrong in software which interfere with USB communication.

Thanks, Paul. I'm guessing somehow the fuse bits must have gotten set. That's the only I can think of.
