Teensy 3.6 Voltage

Please forgive what may well be a very stupid question. When i test the voltage on the 3.3v pin between pins 12 and 24 i get a reading of 4.4v.
Am i doing something wrong?
What impact will this have on my i2c bus with 5 mcp23017s and an OLED display?

Where are you probing the ground at?

Try using the upper left pin, on the Teensy, above pin-0 or the pin directly across between pins A22 and D13.

Don't use the analog ground pin as a reference.

Don't tie Vin to the 3.3v pins either.

Did you solder the pins on the Teensy? Check those soldered connections.

Thanks very much for the response. My problem was even more basic (testing the tester). I didn’t notice that the battery in my multimeter was a bit tired and after replacing I get exactly 3.3 v, as expected.
