Just sharing my compact protoboard layout connecting ILI9341 Touchscreen signals and audio adaptor (rev D) with line in+out, SPDIF in+out, and a couple input pots and a couple RG LEDs:

It uses PJ-307 for line in & out and PLT133/T10W for SPDIF transmitter and EAPLRAA4 (though could have instead PLR135/T10) for SPDIF receiver. These audio connectors are underneath:

It was actually quite difficult for me to solder, as it was trying to fit so much in so little space and had up to 3 layers of wires crossing:

After I connected up a 2.4 inch screen & audio adapter & teensy, I found that it can be screwed into a 2x3 inch piece of wood, so it can stand stable upright or on any side:

It is 2.5 inches high. I haven't figured out the best place to fix the ethernet adapater though. Unfortunate the ethernet header & ribbon connector is soo tall already that I think I might just mount the ethernet directly on the tensy since that height is used up anyway.

That looks like fun. I remember a few years ago designing a small AVR platform and having Seeed manufacture the boards. It's cool to go from CAD to holding something in your hand.
