Hi Paul. I've been playing with the Teensy + Audio Shield in some guitar pedal projects and it's super cool. But space is at a premium inside pedal enclosures, and the Audio Shield part is relatively big.
Have you ever given thought to a narrow variant? All I need is line in/out, no extra memory or headphone output. It would be pretty killer to get an audio Teensy down to the same footprint as the regular Teensy.
I'll attach a pic of a pedal build - this is a copy of that "pedal that can experience suffering", which you posted on the pjrc blog recently, with the Teensy on a simple PCB I threw together. I could definitely make this layout more compact but it illustrates what I'm talking about.
Cheers!
