MK66FX1M0VMD18 shortage. Does anyone know of a source to buy ~100? Teensy 3.6 spinoff

    Howdy folks,

Got myself into a bit of a pickle here.
I'm trying to get my hands on the main microcontroller for the Teensy 3.6 (NXP's MK66FX1M0VMD18). Thanks to the forums, I know that the upgraded version with more flash is not compatible.
Does anyone know of a source to buy anywhere from 60 to 100 of these? I reached out directly to NXP but they do not sell to individuals, just distributors.
    Any insight would be great.

Blueschip seems to 4K+ parts on stock: https://www.blueschip-store.com/part...18/710964.html
Not familiar with Blueschip though - only know that they are Hong Kong based.

Thank you PaulS! I will investigate. The part shortage problem has been pretty frustrating as of late.

Damn, the Blueschip option did not pan out.
I'd also be willing to buy the ~100 MK66FX1M0VMD18 AND the teensy bootloaders.
Does anyone know if Teensy Paul would be up for such a thing?

Email directly and we'll check if any extra chips are available.

You might consider using the IMXRT1062 chip from Teensy 4.0 & 4.1 for a new project. The cost is similar and all signs are pointing to much better supply on those parts in 2022 than the older chips.

Sorry to hear. Just curious, what was the issue? Availability? Payment conditions?

I ran the blueschip solution by a friend and apparently there exists fraudulent activity from that source (as in we may never get our chips):

Thank you, I'll check that source out.
As long as there are no red flags and the business is legitimately trying to sell parts I'll keep that option on the table.
