is Arduino IDE 1.8.15 compatable with Teensyduino 1.53?

As the title, is Arduino IDE 1.8.15 compatable with Teensyduino 1.53? I would like to update the IDE but am hesitent in doing so because I dont want to run 1.54 beta of Teensyduino in order to get things working with active projects if Teansyduino 1.53 breaks in the new IDE. Any info would be appreciated.

Also this may be a known bug in the forum but... I did a forum search using "1.8.15", with, and without, quotes and zero results came back. It should have atleast popped up the "Teensyduino 1.54 Beta" threads that mention "Arduino IDE 1.8.15". I did a Google search using "1.8.15 site:forum.pjrc.com" and it turned up 62 results without quotes and 4 results with quotes "Arduino IDE 1.8.15".

No, IDE 1.8.15 wasn't supported until Beta 9 release of TD 1.54, when 1.8.15 was released.

Good news. You'll only need to wait a few more days. I'm going to release 1.54 this weekend.

The final 1.54 release is expected to be very similar to 1.54-beta12 (the 2nd release candidate).

To answer clearly: no.

Teensyduino 1.53 was released on June 30, 2020. Arduino 1.8.15 was released on May 15, 2021.

Because Arduino 1.8.15 did not exist at the time Teensyduino 1.53 was made, Teensyduino 1.53 does not support it.
