Then assuming the device is being found, and there is nothing else on those IO pins, which by the schematic looks good and..
Then again double check your sample program and the edited library.... Maybe post both again.
Edit: That all references to Wire object are now to Wire1.
The double check wiring that I mentioned was I have seen where it worked on 18,19 but not 16, 17, was they (read that I) simply moved the wires down two pins..
But the signals are reversed... But the fact scanner found it is good...
