Power supply buzzing with OctoWS2811 and Teensy 3.2

Must have put the transformer into some safety state. Unplugged and replugged the transformer and Teensy operating again.

Had an interesting idea to test if there is an issue with the transformer. I connected another small transformer to the Teensy and about 20 led lights, then connected the Teensy via usb to the pinball computer. Everything operated correctly.

Usually buy meanwell power supplies, so I ordered one. Will be interesting to see if I have any issues with the meanwell.

Transformer you say?? They are not usually regulated, so the output voltage can vary on load. Unless there is a regulator in the transformer.

But commonly, you get the step down voltage and a rectifier to get you DC.

New power supply, issue resolved. USB cable connected and everything functioning as expected.
