Teensy 4.1 DigtalWrite Low not 0.0v using Vin

Hi! I am trying to power my project using the VIN pin with a battery that is 4.4v (within the 3.6-5.5 volt pin specifications). The problem is that when I wire any digital or PWM signal to LOW the voltage does not drop to 0.0v but instead is about 0.3v. This is a problem with the projects I need LOW to be 0.0v for the motor controller. Using the USB cable when writing LOW to a pin produces 0.0v. Any ideas why or how to fix it? Thank you!

Can you clarify what you mean here - if you wire a pin to ground it is by definition at 0V. Perhaps you are not wiring the pin at all, or not to ground, or not measuring relative to ground? Is your battery not connected properly to ground? Are you simply measuring the voltage drop across some inadequated rated ground wiring or cable?

0.3V will reliably read as LOW for any known chip I think of, so 0.3V ought not to prevent things working anyhow.
