If I enter a sine 2 Volts peak to peak into the input 'LINE_IN' I have 0 dB ? Probably you're right if you take haft of this value 2/2 = 1Volts and dB = 20.log(Vs/Vref) with Vref=1Volts so you have 0dB ? I'm not sure with this reasoning.

OK, one needs a signal generation, but this could be a another teensy with audio out
