As I have said before on this Forum, my goal is to recreate (port?) a faithful rendition of Williams Robotron 2084.
And I'm making progress. I have created a VGA engine, running at 320*240 (50% of it's native output). 15 bits of colour
help it recreate realistic images. A purpose built Sprite engine allows many (100+, although I haven't counted) objects to navigate the screen. A SNES controller
has been grafted on, the only real option I could find to best simulate the needed dual joystick control. Full and authentic sound is provided , the method
I eventually decided on, will no doubt make many gasp with shock. The game is working, but very much still in progress. I will update
my progress here. Finally , I have included a couple of pictures, the richness of colours is clearly seen.
