​​recent problem ​using​ teensyduino

​Hi there !

I recently encountered the same download problem on my two PCs (at the same time!) => Could not run teensy_reboot.exe (CreateProcess error)

I can no longer load any program​, ​except turning off the PC and reinstalling ​last ​Teensyduino​ release (not beta)​ => teensy_reboot.exe is well copied in ...\Arduino\hardware\tools​.​

Then... it is possible to load ONCE with the Arduino IRD button​ ... and after that the .exe disappeared !

Fortunately... I found on the forum a "teensy_reboot.exe" which I placed on the desktop. Thus a double click allows the loading. Great !

It's still weird and a little embarrassing. Could someone tell me how to fix this?

With Teensyduino I have not experienced this particular problem using a Win10 PC. One possibility is that your anit-virus software may have blocked the .exe for some reason. Not sure if any one else may have seen this.

Sadly, it seems Windows Defender or other anti-virus programs are sometimes deciding to delete certain utility programs.

it's nice of you two to answer. And that sounds like something very plausible.

I'm leaning towards W Defender... indeed it seems to me that I detected the problem shortly after a W10 update. I'm going to go look at this and hope I can close the post.

oh ! AVAST blocks IDP.Generic !!

... JUST NOW, Avast made an update and I got the notification... until then grrr she was silent !
