Teensy 4.1 - USB Device Breakout - Best Practice?

Hey!

I am working on a version 2 of the PCBs of my Sequencer and I would like to have a case-mounted USB Socket to not over-use the Teensy One and making it looking better. As far as I understand, there are 2 pads on the Teensy 4.1 that provide D+ and D-, but that's nothing I can access that easy when soldering the Teensy to the PCB. What is the best practice here? Using a Micro-USB to USB-B Adapter, where the USB-B Port can be case mounted? Or do you solder connections to the 2 test-pads for + and - and connect it there?

Personally I would use this Adafruit product since I don't like to solder wires to PCB (test)pads.

How is plugging in and out of micro usb effecting the reliability of the socket? USB-B more reliable?

With the luxury of a cnc router in the basement, the form of the hole isn’t the reason for choosing, but for people who search that later that’s an awesome option!
