Question for those who know the gps system

One person claims the following:
There are two GPS receivers, the first one is always on and receives NMEA messages, as soon as the second one connects to the system, you can upload data and it also starts working as if it is in hot start mode.
Are there such receivers? if so, which ones?

Thanks for your reply!
Now it remains to learn how to receive this Almanac from my Neo-M8 from Ublox. Who knows how to do it?

Most current GPS receivers will provide data in 30 seconds. This is the time required to receive the ephemeris data. They do not need almanac data.

The NMEA data strings contain the almanac data. That and the correct time will let you compute which satellites are in view. But with the current all in view receivers that have enough correlators to assign one per satellite, that doesn't matter much at all.
