Hi to all,

I've made a midi foot switch controller based on the Teensy LC.

Features:
  • 8 assignable footswitches
  • Bank selection
  • 2 expression pedals connectors with TRS/RTS switch
  • USB Midi input and output
  • Midi DIN output
  • (TODO) LED feedback

All infos can be found on GitHub

As it is my first "real" project, all feedback is welcome :)

Cheers

Nice

2 questions:

Is the top panel a PCB? If yes is that robust as a foot pedal, same question about the four screw that you use to keep the top panel above the electronics?

What's the use case? 10 foot pedals seems to me difficult to find and use by foot.

Yes the top panel is a PCB, and, definitely, it is not robust enough to use it as is in the long run, even if the foot switches take the full force (not the PCB). However, I've plan to build a full enclosure that will strengthen the structure.

Concerning the use cases, I personally use it to:
  • Change scenes (part of a song)
  • change instrument I'm playing (for recording, live, etc)

Other use cases:
  • Change settings of a pedal board
  • Pilot the recording, playback, etc. of a DAW/hardware
  • ...

Eight foot switches is quite a standard for this type of equipment.

Ok thanks.

i suppose that you're standing and have a good view to the pedals.
