Hello all, I'm a composer specialising in multichannel audio installations. Love trawling through all these amazing projects on this forum!
I've recently been toying with the idea of building a multichannel audio player (Preferably 8 or more channels) that can be controlled and synced with external lighting/audio gear. I'd love it to be as foolproof and reliable in operation as possible. Previous research suggests that a single teensy board would be able to do up to four channels out, this led me to the idea of linking multiple teensy's together. I'm not 100% sure of how I would go about this, I'm fairly new this kind of thing! I guess I'm wondering about the theoretical stability of something like this, as well as the ease of streaming the audio data to multiple teensy's.
Eventually, I'd love to add extra features like an LCD screen, RS232 communication, MTC sync, and maybe even a web interface to schedule shows/upload content.
Obviously a big undertaking, but I thought I'd see if anyone had done something similar!
Cheers!
