There are cheap touchscreens available which are connecting directly with embedded displayport, the latest being eDP1.4b
For example I have an LG LP156WF7 SPN1 touchscreen panel which was less than $80.
Spec sheet linked http://www.panelook.com/modeldetail.php?id=32098
This has a 40 pin eDP connection
I think two lanes are for the display and the other pins some are used for the touchscreen.
Is it possible to connect a Teensy 4.0 to this type of panel directly, or any other method?
Lattepanda also sell 7" edp touchscreens at $55 which look nice and connect directly to their systems.

It would be great if we could also connect to a Teensy
