I'm doing some data acquisition projects and really like the great performance of the Teensy 3.0 USB serial compared to all the other arduino dev boards out there. But I would like something much faster then USB high speed (and ~100mhz cpu).
I think the arduino IDE is a GREAT and easy envinronment to develop. I looked into FPGA/PCIe data acquisition boards, but they are just WAY too expensive for my use... From my searching I see others would also like much higher data transfer rates, so I don't think I'm the only one that would love to see something with USB 2.0+ high speed.
What a great niche product if there was a PCIe 1x board, Virtual Serial port to host, 500mhz+ cpu & that can be programmed using the arduino IDE.
BTW: Ansiously waiting for my order of Teensy 3.1....
