Well that's a bummer. I pulled the MOSFET and quickly realized that it wasn't the problem. I took a bit of a different approach than you and bypassed the fuse and MOSFET to see where the current was going after those. The ARM now glows in the IR camera which isn't very promising. I was too lazy to break out the hot air station tonight but if its the ARM that failed then I'm not sure it can be easily repaired.
U2 and D4 hot, 3.3v shorted to GND
